Something’s Missing

I can’t quite put my finger on it, but something is missing. I’ve felt this emptiness for quite some time now, but I think right now is the first time I’ve taken it for what it is… Whatever it is. On the outside, I have everything. I guess that’s not accurate. Or maybe it’s just this time of night. I’m never happy at night. Well, that’s a lie, but every night for weeks now I’ve been somewhat depressed in the evening hours. I don’t know why. I don’t know if it’s something coming up or if it’s something that’s passed.

Maybe it’s the uncertainty that is resting with pretty much everything in my life right now. People come and go everyday, but there’s a few which I’m trying to determine their staying power as of right now. One in particular. No names, and no, you don’t know this person. It’s an old friend.

Part of me is wanting things to go back to how they used to be, and another part of me wants to grow up as fast as possible and just get on with it. Typical, right? On top of everything else in life at the moment I’m dealing with this. Why? I sort of have to wonder about how things in my life have played out. I wonder if I had done just one thing differently, would I be where I am today? Most likely not.

Confusion. I don’t know what I want or where I’m going. I can almost venture as far as to say I don’t know who I am. I know others quite well, but to my own self I am a stranger. It’s almost as if I’m just a bystander in my own life. How unsettling is that? Maybe if I just step up once. Then twice. I really don’t know.

But I did want to get this out here for anyone who happens to see it so they understand that I don’t get it right now. And by “it” I mean everything.

I just want to be happy. That’s all. Is it too much to ask?

So nothing really to say. I’m reliving the days of Good Charlotte. [Bang] I think I mightgo see them. They’re playing at the Quest sometime soon and they do put on a decent show. Plus it’d be cool to relive sophomore year, right? Haaaaaa…. no.

But yeh. Might be getting tickets to some very cool concerts coming up. Obviously Imogen Heap December 15. Then possibly Evanescense. Then a bunch of others. Usual.

Yep, still got nothing. Life is good. Blah bla blah.

So I’m taking my dad down to Mayo today. Which means I’m up at an ungodly hour. Argh.

Don’t have much time to say anything really except that things have smoothed over quite well between Hunter and myself which is a marvelous thing. I finally told him where I’m coming from, and it’s not all bad.

And I’m getting sick. Ugh. Yay for being at a hospital. Or not. Lata kiddos.

Today is rainy. But not that certain rainy day. And you won’t get it which is perfectly fine with me. I’ve been being harassedto update so that I will do. Argh. Not that I have anything to say. Not much of anything,anyways.

Spent the last 3.5 days with Hunter. It was nice. Minus the driving and insane amount of miles I put on my baby. [Sorry] But whatever. What’s a car if it’s not meant to be driven? Now, it comes time to clean and get the house once again presentable which right now it is not. It’s such a mess with the kitchen completely wrecked and who knows what else is where. I’m ready for the weekend. Got stuff going on all weekend then classes start on Monday. Slightly not looking forward to that especially after what I just found out.

I’ve been waiting on my books to get here and I checked my status online. Well, I haven’t been able to get used books, so they substituted them out with used. And charged me the difference which I did not have in my account. Greeeeat. So yeh. Slightly pissy. I just transferred the money over from savings to cover anything else that might hit. So not cool. Note to self, don’t let them do that next time.

But yeh, that’s about it for the update. I need to clean because I work in three hours. Ugh. If you’re around the AV area, stop in at DQ and come say hi. I could use distractions. Lata kiddos.

So no Memphis. I can’t afford it. Whatever.

I’m mainly upset because I really want to see my family and a few certain other people. One who I didn’t think I’d actually want to see, but turns out I do. Yeh. Odd how life works out.

Today has also been rather shitty thus far. But DQ picnic today. Hopefully that’ll be fun. And not drama filled. Depends on who’s there and when. Ughh.
